The BayeteZulu Boutique Lodge wine list consists of a few hundred select wines carefully chosen by us, no expense or amount of effort has been spared to bring to you, Bayete's guests, the very finest tasting wines.
The wine list is designed to enables a guest to take a step into the wine lands and experience each estate for its regional characteristics and wine making styles.
Our selection process takes us through 670 individual wines with a tasting panel of 6 members. The best individual wines have been selected in each category for your enjoyment.
Our tastings are all done blindfolded, in other words we have no idea of the producer or region. This ensures fairness and best possible selection in each category.
The process has enabled us to produce a list representing 13 different regions and 33 different estates. We have assembled a wine tour in the heart of the bush.

This harmonious classic full structure has voluptuous soft red fruit flavours that continuously compete to dominate one another as this wine spends time in the glass. Strawberries, black currant, liquorice and sweet oak flavours are rounded off with fine cinnamon and caramel fudge, which lingers long after swallowing. The well balanced tannin structure in combination with the wine’s intense flavours will ensure that this great vintage stands proud as it improves in the bottle over the next couple of years.
